Academy Awards Rap-Up

The 84th Annual Academy Awards aired last night on ABC and I most definitely tuned in. I always keep an eye out for the fashion and the big winners of the night. 'The Artists' won Best Picture along with a handful of other awards. Jean Dujardin won Best Actor for 'The Artist' and Meryl Streep won Best Actress for her unforgettable role in 'Iron Lady.' There were a lot of different looks displayed on the red carpet last night, but I'll only be posting my favorites and the one's that caught my attention.

My absolute favorite of the night was Jennifer Lopez. She is wearing a beautiful gown by Zuhair Murad. I think that she always gets it right on the red carpet. She always knows what looks good on her figure, what hairstyle goes with the look, and what jewelery needs to be paired with it. She and Cameron Diaz presented together last night. Jennifer's dress was slipping off of her breast as she was presenting. I guess she didn't get the double-stick tape memo!

Lunch for Blue!

Blue Ivy Carter stepped out of her cozy New York home for the first time earlier this afternoon for a family lunch. Beyonce has her 7 week-old daughter swaddled really well so the paps weren't able to get a picture of her. I am digging Bey's chill, mommy look. She is rocking Isabel Marant sneakers and a knitted hat. The Carter family was spotted walking into and leaving out of the Sant Ambroeus Restaurant in the West Village of New York City. I am looking forward to the days when Blue gets a little older and then we can see what kind of outfits mama Bey dresses her daughter in :)

Artist Watch: Liion Gamble and AJ The Menace

Two up and coming rappers in Apex, NC have released a new video. The song is entitled "Simple" and it was produced by Jonny Juliano. The track comes from a rapper by the name of Liion Gamble and it features another rapper by the name of AJ The Menace. The video was directed by North Carolina local Shane M. Petty. Watch their music video below and look out for all the great things they have to come.

The Kardashians Add Another Girl to the Clan

Ok! Magazine is reporting that Kourtney Kardashian is expecting a baby girl. The reality star already has an adorable 2 year-old son with her long time boyfriend Scott Disick. I'm not a huge fan of her younger sister Kim, but Kourtney is one of my faves. She seems to have her head on straight and she also seems to be less drama filled than some of the other members of her family. Kourtney and her small family took a small vacation earlier this month in Mexico. She felt no need to hide her baby bump on the beach and her body still looks amazing. Congrats Kourtney and Scott!

Eye-Catching Ensemble: Tiffany

Tiffany has a very unique style. I loved how she paired this vintage mustard blazer with her high-waisted houndstooth paints. Her accessories are minimal, yet bold and her black combat boots add a little grunge to her look. Tiffany's hair is all natural and she pins her fro up into her signature mohawk. Not only does she have unforgettable style, she is a lover of music. She is a beautiful songstress and she plays the guitar. Rihanna and Chris Brown Make Sweet Music Together

Everyone knows about the infamous incident that happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna the night before the Grammy Awards back in 2009. Since then, the two have been spotted together at numerous parties. E! News has even reported that Chris Brown's range rover has even been spotted outside of Rihanna's California home. The two seemed to have left their problems in the past and have moved on to a musical future. Last night, Chris Brown released his remix to 'Turn Up The Music' and Rihanna was featured on the track. After Chris Brown had released this song, Rihanna then tweeted the remix to one of the more sexual tracks on her new album entitled 'Birthday Cake.' Revamped!

I haven't blogged in a very long time, mainly because I lost my interest in it. I am taking a journalism class and one of the class projects is to blog for 8 weeks. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to start back up, but this time I am going to try to maintain the site. I got a darling friend of mines to revamp my blog and it is looking better than ever. I'll be adding more topics in besides celebs. I'll be talking about all things fashion and my favorite reality television shows. Stay Tuned :)
