Artist Watch: Tez ShovelHead Ent

A thriving artist, who is a Detroit native, has recently released a new mixtape. The mixtape is entitled "All Day All Night" and it comes from a young rapper by the name of  Tez ShovelHead Ent . Tez is affiliated with ShovelHead Ent; an indepent label that he created on his own in memory of his father who was killed in a tragic shooting back in 2009.

Hello Lovers! I know its been FOREVER since I've blogged, but I've been super busy with school and work that I haven't had much time for the blogosphere. I have decided to share one of the many obsessions I have had over the summer. NAILS. I have purchased a pleathera of nail polishes this summer and I just can't get enough. Here are a few of my many indulgences.

I have been telling you all that I wanted to build my shoe wardrobe this summer. Awhile ago, in late April, Charlotte Russe was having a sale. You were able to buy one pair of shoes for full price and then the second pair was reduced down to $10.50. Since I decided to mix in expensive pairs of shoes with less expensive pairs of shoes, I figured that I shouldn't pass up this shoe sale. I purchased a pair of coral peep-toe pumps and a pair of beige wedges.

Artist Watch: Lahj G

An up and coming rapper based out of Anne Arundel County has released a new music video. The song is entitled "Rap N Reservation."  The track comes from a rapper by the name of Lahj G who hails from Riverdale, Maryland. Lahj G is a part of a thriving group of young artists better known as Black Boss ENT. Watch his music video below and look out for all the great things that Lahj G and his team have to come.

So Over Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez has been known to fall in and out of love a few times and in her new video she is displaying a new infatuation with her 25 year-old boyfriend Casper Smart. The track is called "Dance Again" and it features Pitbull, but no one seems to care about the song or the fact that Pitbull is even on the track. Everyone is talking about the playful and sultry scenes with Jennifer and her leading man Casper. Jennifer's divorce papers aren't even finalized with Marc Anthony and yet she still feels the need to flaunt Casper around.

Current Obsession: Shades of Orange

Ever since the 2012 Academy Awards when Michelle Williams wore that deep coral gown by Louis Vuitton, I have been seeing the color orange every where. Spring is finally here and I think that various shades of orange just might be the color scheme of the season. From coral to tangerine and all the way to peach, these hues of orange seem to be the new trend for spring. Emily Blunt, Demi Lovato, and Kristen Bell have all been spotted rocking the new trend on their lips.

The Minds Behind Lost Credit

Joseph Wilson, better known as Joey, is not your average college student. He is an entrepreneur in the making. This young man is aspiring to have a career beyond the typical 9 to 5 job. He is building an empire. Wilson embodies the mindset that you not only have to possess dreams, but you have to go after them. It is important to not only have great aspirations, but it is equally important to chase after what you are truly passionate about.

Model Watch: Magen Medlin

There are countless girls all across the world that pose in their mirrors and imagine that they will become a super model or even a well-known actress. Magen Medlin not only has a name that possesses the essence of a superstar, but she is one of the few young women who has decided to actually go after every little girl’s dream.

Like a lot of aspiring young talent, Medlin is from a very small town. She grew up in Roanoke Rapids, NC, which is right near the Virginia border. Medlin refers to her hometown as “nice town to grow up in.” Although there was not always much to do, Medlin and her friends always found a creative way to have fun. They would go to the lake, enjoy bonfires, and even ride four-wheelers.

Medlin admits that she was always very serious about her grades in high school, and she always stayed heavily involved in extra-curricular activities. She is currently training for a half iron man triathlon, but she states that she has always been athletic. Cross-country, the swim team, and running track kept her occupied in high school. Keeping her body in shape plays a huge role in the world of modeling.

Academy Awards Rap-Up

The 84th Annual Academy Awards aired last night on ABC and I most definitely tuned in. I always keep an eye out for the fashion and the big winners of the night. 'The Artists' won Best Picture along with a handful of other awards. Jean Dujardin won Best Actor for 'The Artist' and Meryl Streep won Best Actress for her unforgettable role in 'Iron Lady.' There were a lot of different looks displayed on the red carpet last night, but I'll only be posting my favorites and the one's that caught my attention.

My absolute favorite of the night was Jennifer Lopez. She is wearing a beautiful gown by Zuhair Murad. I think that she always gets it right on the red carpet. She always knows what looks good on her figure, what hairstyle goes with the look, and what jewelery needs to be paired with it. She and Cameron Diaz presented together last night. Jennifer's dress was slipping off of her breast as she was presenting. I guess she didn't get the double-stick tape memo!

Lunch for Blue!

Blue Ivy Carter stepped out of her cozy New York home for the first time earlier this afternoon for a family lunch. Beyonce has her 7 week-old daughter swaddled really well so the paps weren't able to get a picture of her. I am digging Bey's chill, mommy look. She is rocking Isabel Marant sneakers and a knitted hat. The Carter family was spotted walking into and leaving out of the Sant Ambroeus Restaurant in the West Village of New York City. I am looking forward to the days when Blue gets a little older and then we can see what kind of outfits mama Bey dresses her daughter in :)

Two up and coming rappers in Apex, NC have released a new video. The song is entitled "Simple" and it was produced by Jonny Juliano. The track comes from a rapper by the name of Liion Gamble and it features another rapper by the name of AJ The Menace. The video was directed by North Carolina local Shane M. Petty. Watch their music video below and look out for all the great things they have to come.

The Kardashians Add Another Girl to the Clan

Ok! Magazine is reporting that Kourtney Kardashian is expecting a baby girl. The reality star already has an adorable 2 year-old son with her long time boyfriend Scott Disick. I'm not a huge fan of her younger sister Kim, but Kourtney is one of my faves. She seems to have her head on straight and she also seems to be less drama filled than some of the other members of her family. Kourtney and her small family took a small vacation earlier this month in Mexico. She felt no need to hide her baby bump on the beach and her body still looks amazing. Congrats Kourtney and Scott!

Eye-Catching Ensemble: Tiffany

Tiffany has a very unique style. I loved how she paired this vintage mustard blazer with her high-waisted houndstooth paints. Her accessories are minimal, yet bold and her black combat boots add a little grunge to her look. Tiffany's hair is all natural and she pins her fro up into her signature mohawk. Not only does she have unforgettable style, she is a lover of music. She is a beautiful songstress and she plays the guitar. Rihanna and Chris Brown Make Sweet Music Together

Everyone knows about the infamous incident that happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna the night before the Grammy Awards back in 2009. Since then, the two have been spotted together at numerous parties. E! News has even reported that Chris Brown's range rover has even been spotted outside of Rihanna's California home. The two seemed to have left their problems in the past and have moved on to a musical future. Last night, Chris Brown released his remix to 'Turn Up The Music' and Rihanna was featured on the track. After Chris Brown had released this song, Rihanna then tweeted the remix to one of the more sexual tracks on her new album entitled 'Birthday Cake.' Revamped!

I haven't blogged in a very long time, mainly because I lost my interest in it. I am taking a journalism class and one of the class projects is to blog for 8 weeks. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to start back up, but this time I am going to try to maintain the site. I got a darling friend of mines to revamp my blog and it is looking better than ever. I'll be adding more topics in besides celebs. I'll be talking about all things fashion and my favorite reality television shows. Stay Tuned :)
